Hi dear Hyunju Jang,
That is easy. To create job list file, please follow below way:
An arbitrary name,0,0,value of 1st parameter,value of 2nd parameter,...
for instance,Please write below terms in a txt file:
jEPlus run1,0,0,384,0.99,45,Yes,0.32
jEPlus run2,0,0,43,0.8,23,No,0.77
above list shows 5 parameters for two runs. Now you should browse this txt file from below way:
Execution- actions - job list in file
Then you should click on the simulation.I have sent a sample of my joblist file for you. Please find the attachment.
Are you sure your problem is joblist file. have you specified @@search tag@@ in the jEPlus idf editor? The most common mistake for jEplus users whom ask me repeatedly about working with this tool.
Anyway, if you are a new user for working with jEPlus, you should be sure that your EnergyPlus model is correct and you can see your EnergyPlus results for just one scenario. Then You should browse your idf file,Weather file, rvi file,The parameters and the range of their variations into their correct field and specify @@Search tag@@ in jEPlus idf editor as well. Finally you should determine an output file in Execution tab for running all of your scenarios. The End
Now if you wanna run some of your jobs, you should work with action part in Execution tab.
hope these help you...
Bests,
Navid delgarm

Hi,
I have a problem to use my own joblist. I created the joblist as a text file. Can't I execute my own joblist with GUI (Execution- actions - job list in file)? When i modified a joblist file created by jEPlus, it also did not work.
Alternatively, i tried to use commandline. It also failed to do any simple sampling with my command. The commandline did not say any failure. my command, as below, did not work
i think this old problem of "not being able to generate .csv files from .eso files and then to gather all .csv results file in a single one"still remains..
if someone has any idea about a bit of coding for producing and gathering the results csv files .. i would be sooo gratefull if he put it here explained in an algorithmic way for an amateur coder! ..
I am a new user of jeplus and wants your help. I have modeled a five zone model and using jeplus for parametric run. I need output variable " Heating Coil Air Heating Energy" and "Cooling Coil Total Cooling Energy" as daily profile which I have already defined in idf file. When I only got output in energyplus.eso file after run simulation from jeplus. However, I am not able to get these outputs in csv format. Additionally, I have defined simulation run period from Jan 1 to Dec 31 and timestep is 1 hour, however, simulation is running for only one day.
For your reference, I am attaching idf, rvi and weather file.
We have a small but powerful computer in our network and I would like to use it as a server to run my simulation using JESS client.
In the user guide of JESS client, you do not really specify what has to be installed on the server side to make this possible.
Could you please give me some idea or some instructions? I have a network admin who can probably do this kind of instalation with some guidance.
I have run a model with JEPLUS-EA and would like to get a AllCombinedResults.csv like when i run JEPlus. But the table view only allows me to export a csv with the parameters and optimization objective.
Is there any way to use JEPLUS utilities like Python or ReadVars to collect more data from the SQL outpur files. If so, could you share a simple script with me as an examples. (I am not an exeprienced programmer).
I did some trials with Run Readvars but it didn't work properly and the following error apears: Cannot extract model template file. Check input string.
Cannot extract Weather file. Check input string.
File C:\Users\Xandrika\Documents\03_Research\PhD\Simulation\JEPLUS\__jEPlus_v1.5.1\null is not accessible.
I am beginner with jEplus. I have been trying to open jEplus-EA and the application does not open. But I am able to open jEplus
My system configuration: I have a MacBook Pro and I use windows running on parallels to operate jEplus. java utility required to open jEplus and jEplus EA have also been installed.
And when I click on the jEplus EA icon, nothing happens. The screen just remains as it is.

Hi all
I know how to make a correct (.rvi file) for outputs from output: variable and correct (.rvi file) for outputs from output: meter, separately. But I’m wondering If we have some outputs from output: variable and some outputs from output: meter, simultaneously, how we could make a correct (.rvi file) and (.rvx file) in order to browse it to jEPlus please??
For example:
Outputs from output: variable are
Site Outdoor Air Drybulb Temperature
Site Sky Temperature
Outputs from output: meter are
InteriorLights:Electricity
Electricity:Zone: ZONE 1
Thanks a lot
Rose
It has 9 variables
The project has 30 618 jobs
3 objectives functions
Just 1 IDF and epw files
population size 10
Max generation 200
After the simulation, I got just one point in the scatter plot .
I have the same results (for heating, cooling and daylighting) for all the cases (please look at the attached pictures) .
